*Passengers will choose either the Classic or Discovery package to participate in for the duration of the voyage.
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Bucharest, the Romanian capital. This city is an incredible mix of styles: Orthodox churches, manor houses in Second Empire style, the clumsy-looking Stalinist architecture of the Communist period and the Palace of the Parliament (exterior only). Return on board in Ruse.
Join an excursion for both packages: Full-day excursion to Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi, including lunch at a restaurant. You'll return on board in Ruse. Enjoy dinner and an evening of traditional folk entertainment on board.
Set off on an excursion to Ruse. The town has a surprising multi-ethnic character and is a cleverly constructed mix of Bulgarian and Romanian cultures. It is a beautiful town, with wide avenues, large squares and wonderful buildings following a style of "national Renaissance" architecture. The afternoon will be spent cruising.
The entire day will be spent cruising on the Danube. The ship will pass through the Iron Gates, the gorge on the Danube that forms part of the boundary between Serbia and Romania. It was called "The Cauldrons” by ancient sailors, since the water, held tightly between two steep cliffs, seemed to be boiling.
Classic: Guided tour of Belgrade, the cradle of the Austro-Hungarian, Ottoman and Slavic cultures. Discovery: Belgrade by bike. You'll cycle along the history-filled streets with your guide who will explain the city's recent past from World War II to current times.
In the afternoon, join an excursion included in both packages: Discover the multi-ethnic city of Novi Sad, the industrial and financial center of the Serbian economy and a major cultural center.
Classic: Guided tour of Osijek. Discovery: Osijek by bike. The old part of the town, Tvra, was built at the beginning of the 18th century and is a dream to cycle through. It is the best-preserved, largest ensemble of Baroque buildings in Croatia.
Spend the afternoon cruising towards Mohacs and through customs before sailing on to Budapest. Tonight's your gala dinner and evening. Cruise through the night.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.

Adventure Life has been an extraordinary travel resource for us over the years and today was no exception. Our River Cruise booking was handled by Jess (who has been our personal trip planner for several years) the same day as our inquiry. Suggestions were given for cabin choice and pre-trip options (that were not shown on the cruise line's website) like airport transfers and prepaid gratuities. Trip insurance recommendations followed and we were assigned a travel co-ordinator till the end of the tour. All we have to do is show up! Great service from friendly folks.

Our travel was flawless! The rider pickup (airport, hotel, ship) was seamless. Jane's recommendation for Emerald Cruise Sakara was everything I wanted but the experience was soooo much more. Adventure Life took care of each and every detail and this was the easiest of all my travels.
