Valparaiso, one of Chile’s earliest port cities, is marked by sharp hills rising above the shoreline and a historic funicular system. This UNESCO-listed area features landmarks, varied architecture, churches, narrow stone streets, vivid hillside homes, and active public squares. In nearby Isla Negra, you can tour the preserved residence of poet Pablo Neruda. As you depart the city, the nearby Casablanca Valley offers well-known Chilean white wine production.
Coquimbo, once central to Chile’s gold and copper trade, rises across the rugged hills of the Península Coquimbo. The Cross of the Third Millennium overlooks the harbor, while nearby La Serena features its well-known lighthouse, main square, and viewpoints across the coast. In the Limarí Valley, the Enchanted Valley displays ancient petroglyphs, and the fertile Elqui Valley supports papaya farms and vineyards used to produce Chilean Pisco.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
