Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Begin your tour in downtown Lima. Visit the Main Square, where Lima was first founded as "The City of Kings" in 1535. It was already known by the name of Lima when Peru proclaimed its independence from the Spanish Crown in 1821. There, you may see the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, and the Lima Cathedral. Then, visit the Aliaga House, an ancient viceregal construction delivered by Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains (Jerónimo de Aliaga) when he founded the city, the construction of which started in 1535. It may be the only house that still belongs to the same family in the present day.
Next, head to Saint Francis' Church, boasting an impressive collection of old books and an authentic network of catacombs open to the public. Following that, visit the Larco Museum in the Pueblo Libre district. Founded by Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926, the museum resides within a viceregal mansion built atop a pre-Columbian pyramid dating back to the 7th century. It houses the most extensive pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver artifacts, as well as pieces of erotic art.
This tour is approximately 4 hours.

Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
