Begin this journey of a lifetime in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Embark on your ship, the MS Fram in Ushuaia and depart for the infinite white wilderness of Antarctica, creating unforgettable impressions. Kayak in Antarctic waters amidst icebergs, hike snowy paths to spectacular viewpoints and hear glaciers calve. Have an opportunity to camp under the polar sky. Make spectacular landings in some of the most spectacular scenery of the area. Then sail back across the Drake Passage and into the beautiful blue waters of Patagonia. Where you will visit the remote village of Puerto Edén in Bernardo O’Higgins National Park and see the famous rock towers of Torres del Paine before ending your journey in the colorful city of Valparaiso, Chile.

Day 1: Buenos Aires | Embark

Stay overnight at a hotel in Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Fly Buenos Aires to Ushuaia | Embark

Fly from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia to board MS Fram.

Day 3: Drake Passage

Cross the infamous Drake Passage, where the Atlantic meets the Pacific.

Day 4-9: Antarctica

The infinite white wilderness of Antarctica creates unforgettable impressions. Kayak in Antarctic waters amidst icebergs, hike snowy paths to spectacular viewpoints and hear glaciers calve. Have an opportunity to camp under the polar sky

Day 10-11: Cape Horn

After several fascinating days exploring Antarctica, make your way back north to the South American continent, landing on Cape Horn if conditions allow.

Day 12: Chilean fjords’

The Chilean fjords’ deep channels and mountain walls that plunge into icy seas leave a profound impression. This wild and remote area seems almost untouched by humans.

Day 13-14: Torres del Paine National Park

See the lofty rock formations called ‘Torres del Paine’ (Towers of Paine). Experience azure lakes, trails that meander through emerald forests, roaring rivers, and a radiant blue glacier.

Day 15: Sailing through Patagonia

Sailing through Patagonia, visit the remote village of Puerto Edén in Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. There are great hiking opportunities around this settlement, which can only be reached by water. The 250 inhabitants include the 15 remaining members of the indigenous Kawéskar people

Day 16: Waters of Patagonia

The expedition continues north through Patagonian waters and iconic Andean seascapes.

Day 17: Cosmopolitan Castro

The island city of Castro is known for its colorful ‘palafitos’, wooden houses mounted on stilts along the shoreline. Visit the Iglesia San Francisco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the unique Churches of Chiloé, as well as nearby Chiloé National Park.

Day 18-19: Sailing North towards Valparaiso

As you make your way along the Pacific coast to Valparaíso, recap the expedition and enjoy interesting lectures. Spend some time on deck looking for wildlife and luxuriate in days at sea.

Day 20: Valparaiso | Disembark

End your expedition in the vibrant and colorful city of Valparaiso.
