The World Heritage-listed city of Valparaíso welcomes with its long and colorful history dating back to the conquistadors. This vibrant city is rich in theatre, music, performance and street art and exquisite Victorian architecture. Most streets, staircases, alleyways and buildings are brightly painted.
Relaxation beckons with so many choices on board you will wonder how time passes so quickly. Choose one of the daily activities including a class in Scenic Epicure, join an entertaining discussion in the Theatre, or make time for your fitness regime.
At the very end of the Pan American highway is Puerto Montt, which is the starting point for a fabled land of fjords, canals, islands, snow-capped volcanoes, green-forested hills and the enchantment of Southern Chile. Puerto Montt is the perfect starting point to explore the German cities of Frutillar and Puerto Varas.
Freechoice: Visit Puerto Varas and Frutillar and see the beauty of these towns set in the middle of lakes and mountains. Alternatively, explore Osorno Volcano and Petrohué Falls, or choose to visit the Felmer Museum and Frutillar and learn about the German colonization of this area.
Visit Castro, where colorful wooden stilt houses line the waterfront and the Chilote culture is seen throughout the World Heritage-listed churches and architecture. Today choose one of the activities or excursions.
Freechoice: Explore Castro and two of the World Heritage-listed chapels or discover the village of Dalcahue and the island of Quinchao. Alternatively, see the farmlands and countryside on horseback.

Journey to one of the most spectacular locations in Southern Chile. Due to the extraordinary nature of the region, a host of choices are now open and, depending on the ice and weather conditions, the Antarctic Peninsula is yours to explore. Your experienced team leaders, who have made countless journeys to Antarctica, will use their expertise to design your voyage from day to day, making the most of 18–20 hours of daylight.
Discovery: Partake in daily excursions. Cruise on the Zodiacs around ice formations, step onto islands to view vast penguin rookeries and seals. Kayak around icebergs and hear the ice cracking and whales feeding below.
The expert Captain and crew will navigate some of the most beautiful waterways which may include traversing the stunning 11-kilometer-long Lemaire Channel where cliffs hem in the iceberg-filled passage just 700 meters wide at its narrowest point. There may be a chance to visit a working scientific base and discuss life in these harsh conditions with the staff. In late February and March, if conditions are favorable, there may be the opportunity to cross the Antarctic Circle at latitude 66°33’ South.

The response from Adventure Life to my first inquiry was prompt and promising. I worked with Jamie Broeckel, Trip Planner, via text, email, and phone calls- always extremely responsive and thorough with information and explaining the process to arrange a private tour for me to Malaysia Borneo. Within about week, the booking was complete and I made decisions because of Jamie's great customer service , friendly manner, and overall competence on behalf of the company's travel expertise. Now I have an itinerary, additional Trip Planner Assistants, several links for vital information for traveling to Maylasia, etc. Still many details for Sept. trip, but now the heavy lifting is done and I can enjoy the rest of the anticipation and research!! The trip was not only memorable for the amount of animals we saw but also for the people and accommodations at the two camps where we stayed. Our first guide, BK, was a wealth of information about the animals, landscape and down to the plants and what they were used for. Everyday out was a learning experience with him. All the people at the camps were gracious and the food was excellent.
Our second camp in the Okavanga was just as good as the first as far as the staff, accommodations, food and animals. After our experience at the first camp we amazed that the high quality remained the same. Our guide, G, made sure we were able to enjoy every experience including a rush through the bush to witness a cheetah and an ensuing hunt that he heard over his radio.
In both camps there were enough guides out that if they saw something the other guides were informed which helped in seeing as much as possible. It was also nice that the concessions were large enough that we did not have vehicles following each other throughout the day.
Normally there is always something in a trip of this length that we think could be improved upon but this is the rare case where we cannot think of anything. From the time we left the States to when we returned it was one of the most hassle free vacations we took.
Perhaps emphasizing the use of the laundry facilities at the camps would be useful because of the luggage restrictions would be the only thing I can think of as an improvement to future clients.
