Day 1: Arrive in Punta Arenas | Fly to King George Island | Embark

Begin your cruise adventure in Punta Arenas, Chile, with a flight to King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. Upon arrival, travel past Chile’s Frei Station and Russia’s Bellingshausen Station before boarding a Zodiac to reach your expedition vessel.

Please note: If the weather at King George Island does not allow for flights this morning, the ship operators follow their well-established contingency plan, which can be read here.

Day 2: Antarctica

Explore the South Shetland Islands, marveling at ice-filled bays, seabirds, penguins, and seals. Board a Zodiac for a memorable shore visit before setting sail north through the Drake Passage.

Day 3: Crossing the Drake Passage

While sailing the Drake Passage, enjoy lectures and presentations by polar experts. Spot albatrosses, petrels, and whales from the deck as you approach the tip of South America.

Day 4: Cape Horn and Nassau Bay

Arrive at Cape Horn, one of the southernmost points of the continent. Weather permitting, step ashore to explore this legendary landmark. Continue your journey through Nassau Bay towards Puerto Williams.

Day 5: Puerto Williams and Beagle Channel

Explore the picturesque town of Puerto Williams, Chile, the southernmost settlement in the world. Sail through the scenic Beagle Channel towards your final destination.

Day 6: Return Home

  • 1 Breakfast
Conclude your adventure by docking in Ushuaia, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world. Disembark and continue with your onward journey.

  • All participants in an Antarctica 21 expedition are required to have a travel insurance policy.  A comprehensive policy is recommended but, at a minimum, Medical Evacuation coverage up to $100,000 USD is required.
