Day 1: Hong Kong, China | Embark

Each evening, Hong Kong's Symphony of Lights illuminates the harborfront skyline in a spectacular display, best experienced from the iconic Star Ferry. Ride the historic Peak Tram to Victoria Peak for sweeping views across the city and Victoria Harbor. Visit Tin Hau Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea, which once stood on the waterfront before land reclamation shifted the shoreline farther away.

Day 2: Day at Sea

Days at sea offer the perfect chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy your favorite onboard activities, whether working out in the gym, indulging in the spa, or simply watching for whales from the deck. These peaceful sea days provide a welcome balance to the rewarding days spent exploring ashore.

Day 3: Kaohsiung, Taiwan, China

Kaohsiung is Taiwan's third-biggest city, with a busy harbor that fuelled rapid growth and wide boulevards interspersed with parks. The vividly colored Dragon and Tiger Pagodas soar above Lotus Lake, while the Liuhe night market serves sea snails, lobster, and shaved ice amid neon lights. Fo Guang Shan Monastery outside the city is approached through eight pagodas leading to a large hilltop Buddha.

Day 4: Keelung, Taiwan, China

Keelung City is Taiwan's second-biggest port on the island's north coast, known as the Rainy Port and famous for its Mid-Summer Ghost Festival, when flower-decorated dragon floats parade through the streets and lanterns glitter on the water. The nearby capital Taipei is home to Bao-An Temple, a peaceful incense-filled place of colorful artistry, and the Taipei 101 skyscraper with its tiered pagoda design. The city's Keelung Miaokou night market floods with people after dark.

Day 5: Ishigaki Ryukyu Islands, Japan

Ishigaki Island is the center of the Yaeyama Archipelago in Okinawa Prefecture, surrounded by coral reefs and with its highest point at the approximately 526-meter Mount Omoto, the tallest mountain in Okinawa Prefecture. Kabira Bay and Mount Omoto are together nationally designated as a Place of Scenic Beauty. The uninhabited Senkaku Islands, disputed territory approximately 150 kilometers north of Ishigaki, cover an area of about 6.3 square kilometers.

Day 6: Naha Okinawa, Japan

Naha, the capital of Okinawa, carries a history distinct from mainland Japan, rooted in the independent Ryukyu Kingdom that traded across East and Southeast Asia from the 15th century. Kokusai-dori offers shopping and local cuisine, Shuri Castle preserves the royal Ryukyuan heritage, and the island's beaches and subtropical culture continue to draw millions of visitors annually.

Day 7: Day at Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 8-10: Shanghai, China

Shanghai's Bund — a mile of European Beaux-Arts and Art Deco buildings facing the futuristic Pudong skyline across the Huangpu River — frames one of the world's most dramatic urban juxtapositions. A megacity combines the historic Yuyuan Garden and the lanes of the French Concession with a commercial energy and architectural ambition matched by few cities on Earth.

Day 11-12: Day at Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 13-14: Tianjin (Beijing), China

Tianjin, three hours from Beijing, is a city of wide boulevards and extraordinary architectural variety. Late 19th-century French, Italian, British, and German concession districts sit alongside historic Chinese temples and a contemporary skyline. The city's proximity to Beijing, its 1920s Art Deco streetscapes, and its food market are among the most rewarding short excursions from the capital.

Day 15: Day at Sea

Days at sea are the perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and pursue personal interests, whether visiting the gym, the spa, or simply watching for whales from deck. These blue sea days offer an ideal balance to busy days spent exploring ashore.

Day 16: Incheon (Seoul), South Korea | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Incheon was the first South Korean city to open to the world in 1883 and was granted English Status in 2007. The city's Chinatown is credited as the origin of jjajangmyeon, black soy bean noodles considered South Korea's de facto national dish. A statue in Jaya Park commemorates General MacArthur's 1950 UN operation that freed the city during the Korean War.
