Day 1: Venice, Italy | Embark

Venice is the embodiment of romance. Admire the iconic domes of San Marco, pause beneath the Bridge of Sighs, and take in the golden lions and Renaissance splendor of the Doge’s Palace. Hear echoes of Verdi, Puccini, and Caruso at the famed La Fenice Opera House, and marvel at the Palladian symmetry of the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Drift by gondola along the Grand Canal and feel the timeless allure that defines this enchanting city.

Day 2: Cres, Croatia

Cres is a delightful destination easily accessible from the mainland and nearby islands. It boasts a variety of intriguing attractions, such as the Griffin Vulture Colony. The influence of former Venetian rule is evident in Cres Town, which retains an Italian village charm, with many structures dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries.

Day 3: Hvar, Croatia

The heavenly scent of lavender perfumes the air in the fields and valleys around the island of Hvar. Idyllically located just off the Dalmatian Coast, the island and the little port named after it have been a favorite getaway since the time of the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians, and even Austro-Hungarian royalty.

Day 4: Dubrovnik, Croatia

George Bernard Shaw said, 'Those who seek paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik.' Indeed, Dubrovnik is a treasure by any measure, made more precious by its miraculous restoration. Crowned by the Minceta Tower, the 10th-century city walls are the proud symbol of Dubrovnik's colorful history.

Day 5: Kotor, Montenegro

This stunning rock-walled chasm splitting the coastal mountains of Montenegro is the longest arm of the sea in southern Europe. Boka harbors the medieval city of Kotor, one of the prettiest, unspoiled towns you can ever see. Founded by the Romans, fortified during the Byzantine era, and then ruled by Venice for much of its history, Kotor has been naturally preserved by its isolation.

Day 6: At Sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges and a peaceful library.

Day 7: Corfu, Greece

The lushest (and some say the loveliest) of all the Greek Islands, Corfu lies just a stone's throw from the Albanian coast. Nowhere is the stunning natural beauty of Corfu more evident than in the small village of Paleocastritsa, where legend says Odysseus was washed ashore to be rescued by Nausicaa.

Day 8: Katakolon, Greece

A charming port town on Greece's Peloponnese peninsula, Katakolon serves as a gateway to the ancient site of Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Passengers can explore the ancient ruins with the optional tour. Katakolon offers a picturesque waterfront lined with shops and cafes, providing a relaxing prelude or conclusion to the historical exploration of Olympia.

Day 9: At Sea

During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, and a peaceful library.

Day 10: Santorini, Greece

The island of Santorini is perhaps the most breathtaking of all the Greek Islands. Around 1500 BC, a volcanic eruption destroyed the island's center, leaving a crescent-shaped rim of cliffs around a harbor formed in the volcano's caldera.

Day 11: Mykonos, Greece

One of the most cosmopolitan of all the Greek Islands, Mykonos is a contrast of rocky hills and beautiful beaches. Hora, the capital, spreads around a colorful harbor, a popular meeting place, overlooked by a variety of tavernas, in which fishing boats nestle side by side with luxury yachts.

Day 12: Piraeus, Greece | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Walking in the shadow of the Acropolis in the Agora, you can almost hear the voices of Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle arguing about who was the greatest philosopher. Ancient Athens, the birthplace of democracy and the epicenter of Western civilization is a city for all eternity. Disembark after breakfast and continue your independent trip back home.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
