Located in the heart of Puebla's historic center, La Purificadora is a boutique hotel that brings new life to a 19th-century water purification factory. Redesigned by renowned architect Ricardo Legorreta, this one-of-a-kind hotel blends its industrial heritage with modern sophistication. Original features are seamlessly integrated with sleek furniture and contemporary design, creating a unique, vibrant atmosphere.
The rooms showcase clean lines, white walls, light wood accents, and glass, with bold black and white floors and bright pops of color from striking purple sofas. Bathrooms feature modern fixtures, continuing the minimalist yet edgy aesthetic.
Guests can indulge in contemporary Mexican cuisine at the restaurant’s shared wooden tables or relax at the rooftop terrace bar, featuring a fully transparent swimming pool with panoramic city views. For ultimate relaxation, the hotel’s spa offers everything from massages to luxurious caviar-based skin-firming treatments. Combining history, style, and comfort, La Purificadora delivers a truly memorable stay in Puebla’s UNESCO-listed center.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
