Set on the banks of the rushing Urubamba River, the luxurious Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado was built in natural materials to resemble an authentic Andean village. Situated in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado was designed to create an authentic experience.
Situated at a lower altitude than nearby Cusco, Rio Sagrado provides the perfect environment in which to acclimatise, and is an ideal base to explore the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. The lodge offers three types of rooms: Deluxe Terrace, Garden Junior Suites, and Villas. Bright and vibrant, Deluxe Terrace Rooms offer a serene space for rest in the verdant Sacred Valley. Constructed from natural stones and wood, the rooms create a wonderful sense of harmony which extends onto a private flagstone terrace. Light-filled Garden Junior Suites combine the essence and colors of Peru with indulgent, European minimalistic decor. Each has a private terrace and luxurious bathrooms with large, slanted windows. The Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado's Villas rise within a stunning riverfront wild flower garden. Spanning two stories, they feature opulent living spaces and beautiful outdoor terraces. High ceilings and windowed roofs frame surrounding eucalyptus trees and create a dazzling sense of light and space.
Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado offers three restaurants which feature inspired Peruvian cuisine from local resources. Varied in international dishes, a combination of the three allows you to pick your perfect meal. Rio Sagrado also offers a luxurious spa, which uses the finest local products to echo the serene spirit of the Urubamba River. Veiled by indigenous trees within a natural bouquet of wild flowers, Spa Mayu Wilka is housed in a beautiful wood and stone complex. With a selection of massages and therapies, a treatment at Spa Mayu Wilka is the perfect start to your Peruvian adventure.

Our guide and driver were very good with their knowledge and were very helpful with our questions. It was a very pleasant visit that would have been impossible to do on our own. Hotels and restaurants were fantastic. The special places we got to go to, like the kitchens, were great. Enjoyed the entire trip!
The cruise was amazing. The crew on Le Jacques Cartier were all the best. All the stops were interesting cities with great excursions. We kayaked Lake Rotiti and explored the glow worm caves. The leaders, Georgia and Aaron were the best. We would recommend this cruise to everyone.
