Bird Island and Starfish Beach

Set out from Bocas town today by boat as you head to Bird Island, also known as Swan's Cay. This designated bird sanctuary contains rock formations and lush vegetation, including a cluster of coconut palms. Here you will get a chance to see the elusive Red-billed Tropic bird, the brown booby, the brown pelican, the frigate bird and a variety of gulls and terns.

Next head to Starfish Beach, famous for its abundance of starfish. The calm and crystal clear waters make this a perfect beach for starfish to rest. As you walk along the beach you will likely see hundreds of these beautiful and unique creatures in brightly colored orange, yellow, brown and red. Enjoy lunch on the beach before heading back to your hotel for the afternoon.
