Robert likes his steak. Visiting Argentina was like bringing a kid to a candy store, or rather a man to the meat capital of the planet. After exploring Tierra del Fuego National Park, we found our way to the best restaurant in Ushuaia, Lomitos Martinica. We ordered bife de chorizo and steaks hot off of the grill, drank Malbec wine, and laughed about the adventures of the day. Robert made friends with the restaurant owner, Hector, and despite the language barrier they connected through food and wine. As we opened the second bottle of Postales del Fin del Mundo, my Dad closed his eyes and sighed, “This is the bife de me corazon.” Cori, Hector and I burst out laughing, loving the pure joy that my Dad had found through a perfect piece of steak.
