We decided to contact Adventure Life for a tour of Machu Picchu at the suggestion of some good friends. This fabulous tour was our only ''guided'' tour in a 5 week, 4 country adventure through South America. This decision was perfect because we ended up learning so much more about the ruins, the culture and the country, than if we had walked in the front gates on our own. Read on. . .
Saqsaywaman Ruins outside Cusco (Teresa Van Haalen)We enjoyed a brief orientation at our Cusco hotel with our guide, Teddy. We'd had a long journey from Quito to Lima, and we were thankful for the mate tea, the opportunity to unwind, and to rest for a day of hiking tomorrow.
Cusco is one of the most picturesque cities I have ever visited. The architecture is all colonial Spanish (frequently built on the remains of Inca rockwork), and the city is lively, with well-maintained walkways, gorgeous night lighting, and friendly locals.
Our team is waiting and ready to talk with you about your next adventure.
So go ahead and book an appointment with one of our specialized trip planners.
We had a fabulous trip to Peru thanks to Adventure Life and their local partner guides. We are so grateful for the smooth transitions from place to place and the ease with which we were shepherded and informed and had our own needs and idiosyncrasies accommodated for throughout this once in a lifetime trip.

Timely responses and great follow up. Trying to figure out what was best for us is a great attribute for Jane and her team.
