Onto the Stunning Sacred Valley

Woke up early for our trip to the Sacred Valley.  The Pisac ruins is majestic! Perched atop a mountain overlooking the valley and Pisac town below.

Just WOW! A wonderful sight to behold!  The combination of engineering skills of Inca civilization, history, and incredible landscape have been catching travelers' attention for decades.

After which, we visited Munaypata Intiqhawarina. It's a cooperative of women where their handicrafts are displayed for purchase. During our visit, they demonstrated how to create wonderful colors of the alpaca fabric from natural materials and weave into a beautiful coat.

Which is which??? She loves both!
which one looks better, mamsh?

Down to Yucay Museum.  We were able to learn about some of the oldest practices of the local inhabitants, such as: readings of coca leaves, offerings to the land, tasting of 'chicha' (a drink made from fermented corn) and more.

The staircase is made up of over 150 steps, and is considered to be one of the most impressive feats of Inca engineering and one of the most well-preserved examples of Inca stonework.

Woooohhh... that was so tiring! But it was sooooo worth it! Look at the view from the top! The ruins are truly impressive, and allow visitors to get an up close and personal look at history.

Ollantaytambo is definitely worth a visit! This is a charming small town with the most incredible Incan ruins, and located at the heart of one of the most beautiful and interesting areas of Peru.
After a long day, it's time to rest for the next day's adventure- Machu Picchu!
