Day 1: Boston, Massachusetts | Embark

Arrive in Boston, one of the oldest cities in the United States. Founded in 1630 and rich with history and culture, learn about the stories and historic sites of the American Revolution on the Freedom Trail before embarking Scenic Eclipse in the early afternoon. 

Day 2: Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

According to the locals, once you have been "on island," you will never want to leave. Martha’s Vineyard is a charming and beautiful place, surrounded by pristine sandy beaches and brightly painted cottages. Take a walking tour of Oak Bluff or discover the African American heritage. Visit a local oyster farm or join a bus tour. 

Day 3: New York City, New York

The city that never sleeps will leave you with endless memories. Take the opportunity to explore New York like a local, or join the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus to see the sights. Alternatively, go for a bike ride in Central Park. 

Day 4: At Sea

Relaxation beckons, and with so many choices on board, wonder how time passes so quickly. Choose one of the daily activities, an entertaining discussion in the theatre or make time for a fitness regime.

Day 5: Norfolk, Virginia

The historic port of Norfolk lies at the entrance to the Chesapeake Bay and is home to the Norfolk Naval Base. This quaint town has a thriving arts community and a welcoming nature, perfect for a day of exploring. Tour this vibrant city, or discover the maritime history of this important seaport at the Naval Base. Art lovers will delight in a tour of the impressive Chrysler Museum of Art or explore the colorful Botanical Gardens. Alternatively, visit Virginia Beach Surf and Rescue Museum or drive to Williamsburg to discover the significant role it played in the American Revolution. This evening at the historic Granby Theatre witness a lively Big Band music spectacle. 

Day 6: At Sea

After busy days exploring, relax on board. Choose a class in one of the fitness spaces or relax in one of the therapy lounges in the Senses Spa. Tempt your palate from one of the exceptional dining venues or try a wine tasting.

Day 7: Charleston, South Carolina

Founded in 1670 in honor of King Charles II of England, Charleston played an important role in the American Civil War and African American history. Visit the Magnolia Gardens, where the beauty of the stately antebellum house and elegant gardens belie the horrors of life on a plantation for enslaved Africans. Or delve into the history of Charleston with a guided tour: listen to the historical gossip and American legends during a horse and carriage tour, or take a culinary tour of Southern specialties. For a more active expericence, take a Scenic Discovery kayak excursion around the pretty harbor foreshore. Alternatively, visit the Frances Beidler Forest with a guide and stroll the boardwalk for views of the lowcountry wetlands and spotting wading birds and alligators. 

Day 8: At Sea

Cruise south towards the Caribbean paradise of the Bahamas. Try a game of bridge or canasta in the Observatory or test your knowledge with some trivia in the lounge. Whatever you choose, there is ample time for more relaxation on the horizon.

Day 9: Nassau | Disembark

Bid farewell to the crew as you disembark after breakfast, taking with you memories of a truly unforgettable cruise.
