Embark on this 6-day adventure that explores the incredible western and central islands of the Galapagos. Highlights of the west include beautiful Santa Cruz, wildlife-rich Isabela, cliff-laden Fernandina, and the amazing black beaches of Santiago. Be entertained by the antics of friendly sea lions or get up close and personal with the incredible giant tortoises that make their home here.
Today we explore more of Isabela Island, stopping at Urbina Bay and Tagus Cove. At Urbina Bay, observe marine iguanas, Noddies and the Galapagos Penguin! At Tagus Cove, keep your eyes peeled for Blue-footed Boobies, Galapagos Penguins and the Flightless Cormorant, among other unique wildlife.
This morning we visit Puerto Egas on Santiago Island, where we will see Galapagos fur seals swimming along the shore. If we're lucky, we will also spot numerous Galapagos birds, such as the Galapagos Dove, the Vermilion Flycatcher, and the Galapagos Hawk!
This afternoon, we travel to Bartolomé Island. Here, we hike up steep, wooden steps in order to reward ourselves with spectacular views of the islands!
Day 6: North Seymour - Baltra
This morning we travel to North Seymour Island, home one of the largest populations of frigatebirds. We may also see Blue-footed Boobies and Swallow-tailed Gulls.
After our visit to North Seymour, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to mainland Ecuador.
Beyond expectations! Then again we weren't sure what to expect. Lovely stay at the lodge, met other like-minded travelers (many had their trips planned by Adventure Life) and the owner was a gracious hostess. It felt like you were one happy family, visiting with a favorite aunt.
