Day 1: Marseille | Embark

Your journey begins in Marseille, one of the oldest cities in France. Explore this beautiful city and get a taste of its numerous influences from a vast array of cultures. Stroll through the old port and find sites founded by the Greeks, samples of neo-Byzantine architecture, buildings constructed in Moorish styles, and so much more. Enjoy a bite at a lively cafe or simply enjoy the sunshine before boarding your ship and setting off on your journey.

Day 2: Bastia, Corsica

Bastia is your gateway to Corsica. Between its cultural riches, natural beauty, and gastronomic heritage, the city concentrates the soul of the Mediterranean island. Overlooking the sea from its rocky promontory, it's the perfect place for a stroll through history. As you tour the Old Town, spot its 14th-century citadel, the Governors' Palace and history museum, Saint-Nicolas Square, the sumptuous Romieu Public Gardens, and the former Saint Mary cathedral.

Day 3: Civitavecchia (Rome)

Built on an Etruscan site between the Tyrrhenian sea and the Monti della Tolfa, Civitavecchia combines art and history with panache. Visit superb historical sites like Fort Michelangelo or the Cathedral of Saint Francis of Assisi. Just 80 kilometers from Rome, the town is a beautiful first step to the Italian capital.

Day 4: Castellamare di Stabia

Castellamare di Stabia, known for its shipyards, is located in the Gulf of Naples. Built on the ancient Roman site of Stabiae, it was a popular holiday resort in Ancient Times, appreciated for its thermal waters. In AD 79, the eruption of Vesuvius buried the cities of Pompeii, Herculanum, Stabiae, and their inhabitants. It wasn’t until the mid-18th century that archaeologists started to dig, uncovering two magnificent Roman villas: Villa Ariana and Villa San Marco, whose remarkable dimensions and architecture testify to the importance and richness of their owners. The conservation of the ancient frescoes is exceptional.

Day 5: At Sea

During your day at sea, make the most of the many services and activities on board. Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the spa or stay in shape in the fitness center. Depending on the season, let yourself be tempted by the swimming pool or a spot of sunbathing. This day without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, to do some shopping in the boutique or to meet the onboard photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship’s upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observe marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest, and entertainment.

Day 6: Katakolon

This picturesque village stretches along the Ionian sea in the west of the Peloponnese. Its main harbor offers a vast panorama of the coastline’s wooded hillsides. Dazzling white, the church of Saint-Nicolas houses a selection of sumptuous icons. You can also pay a visit to the archaeological site of Olympus on the slopes of Mount Kronos.

Day 7: Nafplion

The engaging town of Nafplion is staggered up green hillsides of the Argolic Gulf, to the east of the Peloponnese, and home to an extremely varied cultural heritage. Some of the must-see visits are the ancient agora on the plateau of Akronafplia, Italianate arcades in Syntagma square as well as the baroque fortress of Palamidi on a hillside of the same name. At the top of the hill, views of the gulf and the surrounding mountains are simply awesome. If you want to chill out by the water’s edge, walk along the Arvanitia promenade to a beautiful creek in the shade of cedars and cypresses.

Day 8: Athens | Disembark

The Greek capital city is located on the edge of the Saronic gulf, in the east of the country. Its plural name references the first villages that surrounded the Acropolis. Explore the enchanting rocky plateau, topped with ancient monuments, temples, and gathering spaces. In the city below, visit some of the liveliest districts in Athens to wander its maze of colorful streets and get a taste of the delicious local cuisine. The National Archaeological Museum and the Cycladic Art Museum are also some of the city’s key attractions and allow visitors to discover Athens’ cultural past.

Your cruise concludes after breakfast. Disembark to continue your travels, or transfer to the airport to head home.
