Experience the splendors of the Croatian coast on a Mediterranean cruise itinerary that calls on six very distinctive cities and villages. Launching from romantic Venice, the “City of Canals,” you’ll sail first to Zadar, once the capital of Dalmatia. Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites await the following day: ancient Trogir and Split, renowned for its magnificent Diocletian’s Palace. Then, experience the tranquil beauty of Korcula en route to Dubrovnik, Europe’s best-preserved walled city, whose Old Town is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Call next on Hvar, acclaimed as one of the world’s ten most beautiful islands, and pastel-colored Rovinj on the Istrian peninsula before returning to Venice, savoring memories of the perfect blend of fascinating history and scenic delights.
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
The romantic “City of Canals” and capital of the Veneto region of northeast Italy, Venice was also once the capital of the Republic of Venice, a major power during the medieval and Renaissance eras. Embark the Tere Moana here, and be sure to behold the beauty of Venice from the perspective of the sea as your ship sets sail this evening.
Day 2: Zadar, Croatia
The former capital of Dalmatia, Zadar showcases centuries of history in its charming city streets. An important educational and literary center, it is best known for its Romanesque churches and the pre-Romanesque Church of St. Donat.
Day 3: Trogir/Split, Croatia
A small resort town located on an island off the Croatian mainland, Trogir has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its 2,300 years of urban continuity. Today, you’ll find an amazing architectural mix that blends the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque periods, as well as the stunning natural beauty of its capes, bays, and coves.
At noon, the Tere Moana casts off for Split. A major cultural center and the largest city in the region, Split is best known as the site of Diocletian’s Palace, built by the Roman emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 4: Korcula/Dubrovnik, Croatia
One of the greenest islands in the Adriatic and the reputed birthplace of Marco Polo, Korcula is distinguished by its tranquil beauty, with secluded beaches and bays, surrounding islands, and the medieval ramparts of Korcula town. Enjoy time to explore this lively artistic and cultural center this morning.
In the afternoon, your captain charts a course for Dubrovnik, Europe’s best-preserved walled city. Arrive in the evening and enjoy an overnight on board.
Day 5: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Today is yours to explore Dubrovnik, nicknamed the “Pearl of the Adriatic” by George Bernard Shaw. The heart of the city is the Stradun (also known as the Plaka), the gleaming, wide, marble-paved thoroughfare that dates to the 13th century. The Stari Grad—the extraordinarily well-preserved old city—has been named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which is helping to restore the city’s beautiful Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces, and fountains.
Day 6: Hvar, Croatia
The “queen” of Croatia’s spectacular Dalmatian islands, Hvar has been acclaimed as one of the world’s ten most beautiful islands by Condé Nast Traveler and the U.K.’s Traveller magazine, revered for its scenic beauty, rich history, and mild climate. The city of Hvar features one of the largest and most beautiful town squares in Croatia, and scenic strolling abounds.
Day 7: Rovinj, Croatia
Set on a peninsula and protected by ancient fortified walls, this romantic Istrian town is a modern seaside resort with a host of attractions and activities. Admire its pastel-colored houses as you stroll narrow winding streets that lead to a Venetian bell tower.
Day 8: Disembark in Venice, Italy
Your ship returns to Venice, where you’ll disembark the Tere Moana after breakfast.

This was my first experience with Adventure Life - and I couldn't have been more pleased with the trip. The guides and local staff in both Buenos Aires and Uruguay were terrific - extremely helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed meeting the friendly staff in Buenos Aires in person (I left my bags with them for the afternoon).

Hannah and Nur got the gist of what we wanted our trip to be. They got us in hotels that were located centrally to historic tours. Tours and excursions that were significant, enriching and enjoyable. We had drivers that were on time/reliable. We got from location to location with ease. I would never have been able to plan this myself. I would not have known enough to ask for what we needed. This was above and beyond what I expected. Well done!
