Arrive at Baltra Island on a morning flight from Quito or Guayaquil. After clearing immigration and baggage claim, meet the Sea Star staff for transfer to the yacht. Settle into the assigned cabin, enjoy lunch on board, and attend a welcome briefing to start the Galápagos journey.
In the afternoon, explore Dragon Hill on Santa Cruz Island, one of the newest visitor sites in the archipelago. Follow a scenic trail from the beach to a lagoon lookout to observe flamingos, pintail ducks, and land iguanas. Take in sweeping views of the island’s distinctive landscape along the way.

Visit Black Turtle Cove on the northern coast of Santa Cruz, a tranquil mangrove-fringed inlet accessible only by dinghy. Glide through calm, shallow waters that nurture young marine life, and spot black-tip and white-tip reef sharks, sea turtles, and rays gliding beneath the surface.

In the afternoon, explore Chinese Hat, a small islet off the southeast coast of Santiago Island named for its cone-shaped summit. Explore El Barranco, also known as Prince Philip’s Steps, a steep rocky trail that ascends a dramatic cliff face offering spectacular views. Encounter Palo Santo trees along the path and observe diverse birdlife, including red-footed boobies, short-eared owls, storm petrels, and Galápagos doves.

This was our first trip to South America and we were a little nervous. But Adventure Life made things so easy! All our questions were answered before we left, and our guide, Vidal, was amazing! He gave us enough space to explore without rushing us along. He also knew where the best picture taking opportunities were, which was great.
