Day 1: Malaga, Spain | Embark

Malaga’s Alcazaba and Castillo de Gibralfaro showcase remarkable Moorish architecture. However, Granada offers the most breathtaking example of the Arabesque style with the magnificent Alhambra Palace.

Day 2: Almeria, Spain

Almeria, the easternmost capital of Andalusia, lies at the base of a rugged mountain range. Its standout landmark is the imposing Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress built by Caliph Abd al-Rahman of Cordoba. Enclosed within its three massive walls are the remnants of a mosque, later converted into a chapel by the Catholic Monarchs. Second only to Granada’s Alhambra, the Alcazaba is one of Andalusia’s most significant Islamic fortresses.

Day 3: Cartagena, Spain

The city's naval, maritime, and historical museums provide insight into the 2,000 years this city has been a major port. It's now developing into a vibrant tourist attraction. Phoenicians, Romans, and Moors used the deep water harbor and walled town before the Spanish navy. Visit Torres Park and the Castillo de la Concepcion for the best views in the city.

Day 4: Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain

Ibiza is where people hang out because, except for the medieval walls, you could think it was the Med's version of Key West. But away from the hustle of town, some lovely beaches await.

Day 5: Palma De Mallorca, Mallorca - Balearic Islands, Spain

Towering over the harbor, Palma's enormous Gothic Cathedral is a powerful symbol of the religious fervor that gripped all of Spain shortly after the defeat of the Moors. Built by Jaume I, its vast open nave, and soaring Gothic columns have been added over the centuries. Behind the Cathedral, a maze of twisting streets leads to designer boutiques and open-air markets.

Day 6: Mahon, Menorca - Balearic Islands, Spain

Gracious Georgian buildings that climb the steep hills backing the Moll Ponent. Mahon's heritage also includes the invention of mayonnaise and the first gin distillation from juniper berries.

Day 7: At Sea

Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges and a peaceful library.

Day 8: St. Tropez, France

It is said that the most spectacular way to approach the exquisite harbor of St. Tropez is by sea. St. Tropez is a people-watchers paradise, so you also want to explore her famous beaches, bistros, and bars. The appropriately named Tahiti Plage is where topless sun tanning started, and whether you prefer to take it off or take it all in, there's always plenty to see in St. Tropez.

Day 9: Cannes, France | Disembark

  • 1 Breakfast
Glittering Cannes is the archetypal Mediterranean resort city discovered by wealthy English nobles who came to the sunny south of France to escape their drafty old castles during the dreary British winters. Cannes' high-flying lifestyle has attracted notables and has been notorious ever since. The stars flock to celebrate the Cannes Film Festival at the colossal Palais des Festivals every year.
