Nice captivates with an enchanting blend of Mediterranean glamour and sun-drenched beaches. The famous Promenade des Anglais stretches along the coast, while the historic Vieux Nice features colorful alleyways, bustling markets, and delicious cuisine. With a mild year-round climate, the city provides a perfect escape where French elegance meets natural beauty.
Monaco serves as the fabled domain of princes and movie stars. The magnificent Palais du Prince and opulent casinos evoke the atmosphere of an elegant, pre-war era. With more wealth concentrated in one small area than almost anywhere else on earth, this tiny principality retains its gilt-edged allure.
Portofino is a fishing village on the Italian Riveria coastline. It's pastel-colored houses, luxury boutiques and seafood restaurants surround its Piazzetta, a small cobbled square overlooking the harbor, which is lined with super-yachts. A short walk takes you up to the Church of St. George, a church with a cool, plain interior, dramatically situated on the narrow neck of the Portofino headland. As a lookout point, and probably as a site of religious significance, the spot goes back thousands of years.
Crowded with yachts flying burgees hailing from the world's most prestigious yacht clubs, the harbor of St. Florent is a regatta of colors. Take an excursion to the peninsula of Cap Corse, where medieval watchtowers dot the cliff tops every few miles.
Porticcio, on the southern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio, is a charming seaside resort renowned for its fine sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Combining natural beauty with modern facilities, it offers water sports, lively walks and tasty local specialities.
Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica, is situated on the west coast of the island and is a bustling port city with a relaxed atmosphere. Known for its charming cobbled streets, relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere and rich cultural heritage as the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. Ajaccio offers a unique experience combining history, nature and gastronomy.
Bonifacio, a magnificent town in the far south of Corsica, is renowned for its spectacular medieval architecture, impressive limestone cliffs and picturesque harbor. Nestling atop steep cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Bonifacio offers breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and neighboring islands.
Day 7: L'Arinella Beach | Bastia (Old Town), Corsica, France
L'Arinella beach in eastern Corsica is known for its golden sand and clear waters, making it a picturesque spot for relaxation. Surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, it offers activities like swimming and snorkeling. The tranquil atmosphere and stunning sunsets over the Tyrrhenian Sea make it a favorite among locals and tourists alike.
The most important town in northern Corsica, with its narrow streets, colorful buildings and lively Mediterranean atmosphere, Bastia offers a unique blend of traditional charm and urban dynamism. Its harbor is the historic heart of the city, where traditional boats rub shoulders with numerous restaurants and cafés.
From his villa in Portoferraio, Napoleon, the exiled Emperor of France, looked out over the waiting ships in the harbor and dreamed of returning to glory. Enjoy a local vineyard tour, and near Portoferraio, discover the remains of an ancient Etruscan civilization.

The trip might have been the absolute best of our lifetime (thus far). We particularly want to commend our guide Peter in the Guilin area-he was so incredibly attentive, energetic, enthusiastic-and absolutely dedicated to ensuring that our meals were 100% vegetarian.
