Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Barcelona revels in contrasts. Many enthuse over the beautiful elegant squares and boulevards, while others look for medieval romance in the Gothic quarter. Some love the artistic treasures in the Picasso Museum or the Joan Miró Foundation, but for most people Barcelona is the capital of Catalan Art Nouveau and its glory is epitomized in the spectacular Palau de la Música. At every turn, encounter the playfully opulent creations of architect Antonio Gaudi. His exuberant fantasies are evident in the numerous houses, idiosyncratic parks and the famous, as-yet incomplete Sagrada Familia cathedral, which has been under construction since 1882. Explore this charming city before boarding your ship and embarking on your cruise.
Day 2: Palamos | Spain
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Despite the fact that the entire municipality of Palamos today has more than 30,000 residents, Palamós is one of the best-preserved fishing communities you'll find anyplace on the Costa Brava. It features a thriving nightlife along the ancient waterfront and is also known for its prawns.
On the Mediterranean coast of France sits the village of La Ciotat. Tropical flora, pebble beaches, and play areas are all part of the Parc du Mugel botanical garden, which is located at the southernmost point of the island. Exhibitions on the town's history of shipbuilding and the creation of the game of pétanque may be found in the large Musée Ciotaden, which is tucked away among the restaurants and pubs of the revitalized Old Port neighborhood. The Eden Theater, the oldest continuously running movie theater in the world, lies just to the north.
Day 5: St Tropez/France
1 Breakfast, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Southeast France's Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur area includes Saint-Tropez, a beach town on the French Riviera. Long a favorite of artists, the town drew the worldwide "jet set" in the 1960s and is still well-known for its beaches and nightlife. Although there are more yachts than fishing boats in the Vieux Port, the cobblestoned La Ponche neighborhood nevertheless evokes its former life as a fishing community (Old Port)
Italy's Tuscany region's seaside city of Viareggio is well-known for its Carnival. The Carnival Museum, which features miniature versions of the city's allegorical floats, is located in the La Cittadella complex. A musical instrument museum and an archaeology museum are both parts of the Villa Paolina Civic Museums. Villa Puccini, a museum about the composer housed in his old lakeside home, is located to the southeast in the community of Torre del Lago.
On the outskirts of the Elba island's named harbor, in the province of Livorno, in Portoferraio, a town and comune. It is the biggest city on the island. Many of its buildings are located on the slopes of a small hill that is surrounded by the sea on three sides due to the geography.
Day 9: Rome (Civitavecchia)/Italy | Disembark
1 Breakfast
Civitavecchia, which translates as "old town," is a comune and city within the Metropolitan City of Rome in the Lazio region of central Italy. Located 60 kilometers (37 miles) west-northwest of Rome, it is a seaport on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Two piers, a breakwater, and a lighthouse combine to make the harbor.
