Gear Up for Adventure: Unleash Your Inner Explorer with Smart Packing and Pro Tips!
For many people, seeing the Galapagos Islands is a lifelong goal. There is so much to explore and enjoy on this secluded archipelago, from the unusual fauna to the magnificent sceneries. However, in order to make the most of your adventure, you must pack wisely and be well prepared. In this blog post, we'll go over a packing list for a week-long trip to the Galapagos Islands.
Shoes
It's critical to establish a balance between comfort and functionality when it comes to footwear. Bring a pair of strong, breathable hiking and exploration shoes. These will be necessary for negotiating the islands' uneven terrain.
Bring a pair of flip-flops or slip-on sandals for beach time as well and/or aqua shoes for your wet landing activities!
Clothing
Packing minimal and adaptable clothing is essential when traveling. You'll want to wear clothes that are easy to sweat in and dry quickly. Choose lightweight blouses, tank tops, and shirts that will keep you cool in the sun. Non-cotton athletic shorts can also be worn over a bathing suit. For cooler nights, bring a light sweatshirt or jacket, as well as a pair or two of yoga trousers or lightweight pants. It's also a good idea to pack two swimsuits/rash guard so one can dry while the other is worn. Remember to bring a sunhat, sunglasses, and a raincoat or windbreaker!
Other Useful Items
Aside from clothing and shoes, there are a few more items to pack on your Galapagos journey. A sunscreen with at least SPF 50 is required, as well as a bug repellant. A reusable water bottle, as well as aloe vera for sunburns and lip gloss/balm for windburns, will come in handy. Bring a tiny body purse or pack with you to carry essentials while exploring. It's also a good idea to include some first aid supplies, as well as any personal toiletries and prescriptions you might require (e.g., Dramamine for sea sickness, paracetamol for body pains, vitamins and supplements).
Don't forget to bring your phone charger and $20 dollars or less. Bring binoculars and snorkeling gear (if you're not comfortable using the sanitized ones on board), and don't forget your camera and accessories, including extra memory cards and possibly a waterproof case.

Hannah and Nur got the gist of what we wanted our trip to be. They got us in hotels that were located centrally to historic tours. Tours and excursions that were significant, enriching and enjoyable. We had drivers that were on time/reliable. We got from location to location with ease. I would never have been able to plan this myself. I would not have known enough to ask for what we needed. This was above and beyond what I expected. Well done!
