This 4-day Central Islands Galapagos cruise on the ship, Yolita II, explores the wildlife-rich shores and vast underwater wonders of Santa Cruz, Floreana, and more. A fantastic small ship adventure in the Galapagos!
Involves minimal physical effort and is typically associated with leisurely activities. Activities are low-intensity or last less than a few hours each day.
Arrive in Baltra and transfer to the Yolita II. In the afternoon, head to the picturesque highlands of Santa Cruz. Here you will explore the lush greenery of this amazing island, visit the famous Twin Craters, and observe the giant tortoise of Santa Cruz in its natural habitat.
After breakfast, sail to Punta Cormorant to view one of the best Flamingo lagoons in the Galapagos. Take time to walk along two distinct beaches. "The Green Beach" has a high percentage of olivine crystals in the sand and the "Flour Sand Beach" is composed of coral. Then, head to Corona del Diablo for some fantastic snorkeling.
In the afternoon, explore the historic Post Office Bay and Baroness Lookout.
This morning, sail for Chinese Hat, a volcanic cone with amazing lava formations that are formed under the sea and raised upward. On the island, you may find sea lions, marine iguanas, and Galapagos penguins.
After lunch, head to Dragon Hill to explore a hyper-saline lagoon full of flamingos, pintail ducks, and other species of birds. Take a short walk to the Hill for an incredible view.
Day 4: Black Turtle Cove- Baltra
1 Breakfast
In the morning, travel to Black Turtle Cove, a calm and quiet red mangrove lagoon that acts as a nursery for many sharks and rays. The lagoon's clear waters allow travelers to observe large groups of white-tip reef, black-tip reef and hammerhead sharks, and schools of golden rays and spotted eagle rays. You may also spot sea turtles, pelicans, and herons.
In the early afternoon, transfer to the airport in Baltra for your flight back to Guayaquil or Quito.

I spoke with at least a half dozen other travel companies, looking for a Galapagos cruise that fit our schedule and budget. Some companies could manage one or the other, but Erin was the only one who could do both. She found us the perfect cruise, at a fantastic price! And she has been quick and patient with responses to my many questions. So far, Adventure Life has been a fantastic company to work with!
